The maths[]
This page was made by En and hansman1. The following info is based off research on the forge and calculations. Here are the basics:
First off, you won't gain power from ingredients (by forging them or by adventuring). Only from forging and upgrading equipment.
Forge/adventurer level or type of equipment (porter, longbowman, etc) has no effect on power gain.
Power gain is dependent on equipment's level, recipe group (common, uncommon, and rare), and strength (weak, normal, and strong). All potions have normal strength.
Power gain is also dependent on wheter or not the equipment is a special equipment, the type of equipment that requires items like millenium seeds, ruby relics, golden wheat, shadow orbs or solar nectar to be forged. If you wonder if an equipment is a special equipment, look at all the ingredients. If one or more ingredient is not obtainable from one of the permanently avalible missions, it is a special equipment.
To get the weak or strong amounts, you take the normal amount x +/-25%, regardless or equipment level or recipe group.
To get power level one recipe group up (common to uncommon, uncommon to rare, and rare to super rare), multiply the amount from the previous recipe group with 1.5, regardless of equipment level or strength.
If the equipment is a special equipment, you take the power x1.5, just like when you move one recipe group up. For example, the Rare Lava Jaw Amulet of Renewal gives power as if it was a super rare equipment.
To get the power gain for a higher level, you double the amount from the previous level, regardless of equipment strength or recipe group.
When you upgrade your equipment, you get a in-game-message that tells you how much power you gain. For challenges and tournaments, that power counts 2x. For example, if you upgrade an equipment and the game-message says +20,000 power, you will get 40,000 power added to your power challenge count, but your city's power will increase by only 20,000. This page shows the power you will gain in the challenge count.
To get total power of an equipment(not power gain), do this;
