Dragons are the deadliest warriors in Atlantis and also our greatest allies.

The main City and Outposts dragons are considered Guardian Dragons, not to be confused with the troop dragons. These good dragons defend their Keep. However, Sanctuary-bred dragons are merely "enchantment boosters," not Guardians. Outside of the Sanctuary, it is only possible to obtain one of each breed of dragon. Inside the Sactuary, it is technically possible to have an entire rookery of one type of dragon.

Despite what is displayed on the actual Dragons of Atlantis site, you do not need any dragon included in the march to acquire either the eggs or armor; this has been tested through several different players. The other pages might not have been updated with this crucial info yet so disregard that particular aspect.

Other Dragons

When Breeding, the main city Great Dragon is always female while the Outpost Guardians are male. Dragons bred in the Sanctuary are determined randomly in regards to gender, without consideration of which dragons their parents were.

The Wraith, Kaiser, Chrono and Steelshard dragons are unavailable for breeding.

The Great and Guardian Dragons can attack without having 100% health.

The minimum health is 100% minus 5% per Aerial Combat level.

For example: A Level 9 Great Dragon with Aerial Combat research Level 5 can attack until it reaches 154,956 health (full health X 0.75)

  • Level 10, until 50% of their full health.
  • Level 9, until 55% health
  • Level 8, until 60% health
  • Level 7, until 65% health
  • Level 6, until 70% health
  • Level 5, until 75% health
  • Level 4, until 80% health
  • Level 3, until 85% health
  • Level 2, until 90% health

(*) The Wraith can't be sent to attack unless it reaches level 10 and Summoned: which, will cost 100,000 Anthropus Talismans and 1,700,000 in Blue Energy.

Since the release of the [[Spectral Ruins|Spectral Ruins and Anthropus Talismans, there has been a lot of demand for information on the compatibility of the Great and Guardian Dragons with troops.

For levels 9-10, high ranged troops (LJs, FMs, etc.) are optimal. But if they are not available, Longbowmen (LBM) may be substituted as long as it is accepted that there is a risk of losing them to Random Number Generator (RNG).

Due to Banshees'' high speed, they are able to cross the battlefield in fewer rounds than non-upgraded SSDs/BDs and therefore take less damage due to the range incompatibilities. A SSD with Dragonry research Level 10 works with Wind Dragons as well.
